Handcrafted Artisan Cheese

Made using century-old recipes, perfected with time and our unbeatable slow-pasteurization process

Story Behind

Working with nature, we use fresh Jersey cow milk from our family’s farm, created without the use of hormones or antibiotics. All our cheeses are handcrafted in small batches using the finest natural ingredients. This creates a truly unique and flavorful cheese that we know you will love. When you visit our Cheese Factory you are able to taste all of our cheeses, watch us make cheese, purchase items in the shoppe and dine in the world famous Bravo Farms Café. You can also climb the giant tree house with the kids, feed the animals in the petting zoo, play a round of mini golf and finish your visit by picking from 16 flavors of gourmet ice cream. secret formula

A great advantage to artisanal cheese is that between varying climates, differing animal feeds , and possible combinations of animal milks, the same practices never occur, even when the same recipes are used. Because of this, we can use tried-and-true formulas and apply them to our agriculture rich home with incredible results.  Our local dairies use high quality, locally sourced feed and our central California temperate climate makes for happy cows (and sheep & goats too!) which enhances the overall flavor.  Combine this with our slow pasteurization method and you have the creamiest texture, and best flavor, possible.

Cheesemaking has been around nearly 4,000 years

According to the International Dairy Foods Association, cheesemaking has been around for nearly 4,000 years.  Though no one really knows who made the very first cheese, historical records indicate that travelers from Asia brought their technique of cheesemaking to Europe before the Roman Empire.
